AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Protesting against the continuous fundamentalist attacks at Bangladesh IPFT has held mass rally at Agartala. The rally began from Astabal Maydaan and protested before Visa Office at Kunjaban.

However, Friday’s protest was basically lead by youth IPFT whereas before this on June 29 IPFT protesting against the increasing tortures upon Hindus at neighboring country Bangladesh sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina via Bangladesh Asst. High Commissioner in Agartala.

Addressing Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, IPFT said, “This is to express our serious concern over the atrocities being committed intermittently upon the region, linguistics, minority tribal population living in the Habiganj district , Chittagon hills etc.”

IPFT furthered requested the Prime Minister there to look after the Hindu’s safety and other minorities in her state, to avoid incidents like June 25 where about 200 helpless people gathered near Khowai Indo-Bangla border to save their lives from Fundamentalists.

However, after 4 days of the incident it’s IPFT which first time has protested against the incident. The ruling party CPI-M also not interested to talk about the matter.

About 250 Hindu tribes, who took shelter in Indo-Bangla border on Saturday was pushed back after BSF/ BGB meeting held on last Saturday night. But the Hindu Tribes have gone back to their main land with an “uncertain future”, as the situation is still out of control atBangladesh.

The Bangladeshis who had been staying on forest department land in Chunarughat, under Habiganj, tried to enter the Indian state atKhowai, the Hindus had been living in the Telenga Range (Bangladesh) of a reserved forest and after a problem they faced with the forest department workers there they took shelter in Indo-Bangla border.

Hindus in Bangladesh are becoming the target of ferocious. Day after day killing of Hindus are taking bad shape but there is no protest here in Tripura, not even by RSS and BJP against the brutality done against the Hindus.

However, although earlier a Brahman society raised voice against the crime but the government is silent to take any action for saving the vote bank in Tripura.

In this regard IPFT Youth Forum has organized mass rally across Agartala City.
