AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Demanding immediate arrest of the rape accused Panna Ahmed in next 24 hours at the earliest Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress on Friday placed deputation to West SP Abhijit Saptarshi at police head quarter.
Demanding arrest of rape accused Panna Ahmed they also demanded the security of the rape victim.
The particular incident has sparked off state wide resentment among the common people and the political forums as well.
According to the sources, the mafias threatened the women to withdraw her complain or else she and her entire family will be killed.
It is to be mentioned here that the rape victim is now moving with the death fear of her life and her family.
Reportedly now allegations have been raised against the former SDM of Sonamura for raping a mother of two sons in his own residence near western club and yet CPI-M is silent. Apart from raping the women he has also threatened the victim after he was posted as the joint Director of Youth and sports affairs. The victim further said that she came to meet Panna Ahmed at his home in search of rent at Agartala Ramnagar. Taking advantage of situation, Panna Ahmed tortured her, beaten her and then raped her for hours. However despite of such ferocious activity by a TCS officer CPI-M is silent.
Reportedly, Panna Ahmed was also the former SDM of Sonamura subdivision where he ruled for years to provide support to smugglers and ganja cultivators.
IPC Section 506 FIR was lodged against Panna Ahmed in West Women Police Station on Monday, but CPI-M's police force feeling shy to arrest such a well known communist TCS officer.
But now Panna Ahmed is exposed and other political parties are now fuming to take actions against Amhed and demanding his immediate arrest.
