KAMALPUR, JULY 1 (TIWN): Crores of rupees came to no long lasting use to the inhabitants in the PMGSY work at Ambassa. A road made under PMGSY project at Kulai came to the verge of extinction due to river erosion.
A road was constructed between Kulai and Balaram almost five years ago. During construction, the agency not employed any protective measure against the erosion of the river Dhalai. As a result, almost 200 mtrs of road almost went into the river at Lalchari area. And the road turned of no use.
As a result, the villagers had to cover 5 kilometer more distance to go to Kulai market with their produce. But still none remained keen to remedy the matter.
