AGARTALA, June 18 (TIWN): Tripura was seen first time Ashuganj steel importing into state via Akhaura check post on Saturday.

People there were eagerly waiting for the entrance of trucks filled with steel-made-rod.

But as there were some problems or mismatched in the papers brought along with dealers the delivery was halted.

However, on Sunday morning the process can be proceeded, said the export-import officials. The Check post officials are now checking the papers.

Earlier many items used to import via Akhaura including food grains, fishes, bricks etc.

But the steel importing was to be for the first time.

The rod which are on the way to import in Tripura is fully steel made.
