UDAIPUR, June 18 (TIWN): As the double-lane construction work gets momentum from Udaipur to Melaghar road, a major part of Udaipur subdivision’s power connection has been interrupted every day for a large period of time, with the pillars are already taken out from the soil and to re-set, before the eviction drives are to be conducted there.
On Saturday also, Udaipur to Kakraban road many areas are left without power since morning 11 am.
But the work is going very slowly without any organized manner so the agonies of people has no end.
In this regard, all old trees are cutting down in Udaipur in the name of double-lane construction but there is no preparation for road construction yet.
Before many years a roar of broader road construction began in Udaipur during Keshab Majumder’s era.
It was said that the whole road across Udaipur-Palatana will be larger in size and also drain will be provided on that area.
Immediately after that----all the trees which one set on both sides of the roads were cut down and the natural beauty was damaged then.
However, the de-forestation of road-side trees again started here.
Asking the locals they mentioned that the double-lane construction needs space and that is while all the tress of Ramesh Chowmuhani, Khilpara and other roads on that area are cutting down.
But there is no sign of road construction preparation however. People are upset with the continuous cutting down of old trees at Udaipur.
Now the load-shedding problem is disrupting everyday lives. Schools, organizations works are hampering due to the ongoing work here.
