UDAIPUR, June 4 (TIWN): As per the Family and Health Welfare Department, hefty amount was sanctioned for Gomati District Hospital, (then South District Hospital). This Project revised cost: was Rs.2849.00 lakhs---however the Sanctioned during 2005-06 Rs.940.00 lakh under NLCPR (Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources). Government of India released: Rs.846.00 lakhs. Expenditure: Rs.825.53 lakhs.
But after all those what the people of that district got?
With the establishment of Gomati District hospital, health service was hoped to be much better in that area, in compared to the past years.
But the hospital is proving smaller than the expectation and authority is in trouble to adjust with the increasing number of patients at there.
Patients are suffering from small number of bed, insufficient water supply, shortage of each and every necessary itmes.
The main problem with Gomati dist. however, proving as the building construction and its size. The hospital thus has proven as very much insufficient to provide service to the whole district.
