AGARTALA, May 26 (TIWN): Tripura Mechanical Worker’s Union placed 12 charter points of demands to the labour Minister of Tripura Sahid Chowdhury.

According to their demands :

1.     To hike their wages,

2.     Workers should be provided with wages as per the labour Act,

3.     To built sheds for the shop keepers which are made by Block and Municipality,

4.     To provide identity cards to the workers,

5.     To arrange trainings for the workers,

6.     New technologies to be provided,

7.     To undertake them within various govt. projects,

8.     To provide them allowance who are beyond 60

9.     To provide lands to the landless workders,

10.  To arrange loans for them,

11.  To provide mechanical workers with BPL cards,

12.  To provide them proper medical care.
