TBSE board corruption: Chaos sparked off between police and protestors, board office ransacked, huge security deployed

AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Massive chaos sparked off in front of the office of TBSE when the protestor turn agitated and ransacked the board office on Monday following the corruption in the publication of the boards results for TBSE HS(+2) examination.

Reportedly, all the protestors along with BJP and other student’s forum including DSO, SFI, NSUI, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi parishad demanded resignation of the board president for the corruption in the results and for playing with the future of the student.

However, board resident further hearing to the protest said that who are they to demand for his resignation and this   comment has sparked off resentment and chaos in front of the board office on Monday.

Getting agitated over such comment by the Board president the protestors ransacked the board office and demanded immediate resignation of the board president.

Reportedly, few protestors were also injured in the incident. Huge police force along with west SP Abhijit Saptarshi and others remained present in the spot and brought the situation under control.

It is to be mentioned here that it was for the first time that TBSE board has announced the HS (+2) science stream results early for the benefit of the students of the state.

Keeping in mind the continence of the students to appear for the higher studies and for applying different institutes and colleges TBSE board has taken the decision to declare the results early but the declared results gave false hopes to the students.

It is to be mentioned here that Tripura board school education is known as TBSE. Every year there are large numbers of students who appear for the examination for both class 10th and 12th.

Tripura board of secondary education was established in 1973, under the act known as Tripura board of secondary education act, 1973 as passed by Tripura legislative assembly. The board started its functioning from 1st of January 1976.
