AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Now a days many hydro electric plants in Tripura are becoming dry due to inadequate water supply of resources. However govt. trying its level best to overcome of the power-crisi-situation--- it is claimed by the state govt. of Tripura.

But in actual, taking the water-shortage excuse as an opportunity, Tripura Govt. pursuing the irregular power supply to the state along with hundreds and hundreds of debt to the private plants.

The Dumboor, or the Tirthamukh Hydro Project, which was once state’s glory now depends upon the weather to get water. Huge embezzlement of funds are undertaking in the name of Tirthamukh Hydro project, whether this plant is producing nothing. Moreover, due to lack of maintenance this place has gone to the worst and no proper infrastructure is available at there, which can generate power.

Baramura Plant,is another example of Tripura’s deplorable power project. Although in Tripura’s websites the name of this plant is written in Golden words, but in reality is generating not even 25-30 MW also, whether it was to produced 42 MW.

The Rokhia and Baramura gas-based power plants in Tripura was tow converted into the combined cycle mode to generate additional power without using extra fuel, but the present condition of both the plants are so miserable that they are insufficient to reduce a little percentage of load-shedding in state Tripura.

But these problems are nothing new, and neither the demands of common people too to give life into them. But all demands are useless till then no action is taken.

So tension prevails about the total power generation from the govt. plants in coming days.
