Tripura Tapashil Jati Samanay samiti calls for mass demonstration

AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): Tripura Tapashil Jati Samanay samiti on Thursday hold press meet at Ambedkar bhawan with 3 charters of demands.

To sanctioned funds for SC ST, to start reservation under privatisation along with 3 charters of demands the Tripura Tapashil Jati Samanay samiti on Thursday hold press meet at Ambedkar bhawan.

Addressing the press meet the dignitaries said that to stop violence against the Dalit the Tripura Tapashil Jati Samanay samiti has called for mass demonstration from 7 to 18 may.

Earlier demanding to conduct a meeting to discuss about the dalit issue at the parliament level, Tripura Tapashili Jati Shamannaye Samiti also staged four hours long mass demonstration in front of city centre at Paradise Chowmuhani.

During the demonstration, the members demanded for the SC/ ST prevention of atrocities act as soon as possible. Besides, they also urged to bring the ST/SC sub-plan under law and allot fund properly to the beneficiaries.

Besides, they also demanded to provide 35 kilogram of rice at the cost of Rs. 2 to the APL and BPL families. The organization also demanded to provide a seat for the Tapashili Jati at the Lok Sabha by seeing the ratio of the population of the State.

There also the organization has demanded to amend the prevention of atrocities act of ST/ SC, to provide a seat for the Tapashili Jati the Lok Sabha by seeing the ratio of the population of the State.

Besides, they also urged to conduct a meeting to discuss about the dalit issue at the parliament level.

Further, they demanded to increase the man days of MGNREGA to 200 days and to increase the wages to Rs. 300.

However, the organization on has been demanding for long time for the stringent legislation to prevent atrocities against the dalits.
