AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): State Gov't is certain to appear before the Supreme Court of India with a demand to put a stay order to the High Court's recent verdict for special audit in each block of the state . Recently High Court Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta , while giving judgement to PIL demanding CBI probe in MGNREGA scam in Bishalgarh block , ordered for special audit to be conducted by special team in each block. Already deep rooted under various corruptions and embezzlement of different centrally sponsored schemes , this judgement came as a new headache for the Left Front Gov't in Tripura led by the 'Honest(?) and Clean ' Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. And eyeing the consequences of the special audit state gov't is learnt to have taken the decision to appear before the Supreme Court of India demanding a stay order to HC's verdict.

Since 2013 state gov't led by its honest and clean (?) Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has been on the headlines for various corruptions, irregularities as well as massive embezzlement of Centrally sponsored funds . Mention may be made to a few  :-

1) Multi-crore MGNREGA scam in Bishalgarh R D Block and almost all the blocks unearthed through the leakages of Internal Audit Reports

2)Massive scam in RMSA and SSAunder Director of School Education Department

3) Rs 44 crore NRHM scam in North Tripura District

4) Huge irregularities in Unakoti Dugdha Unnayan Prakolpo led by corrupted officials like former  ARDD Director Dharmeswar Das and Abhishek Chandra

5) Termination of 10323 teachers' jobs by the High Court ( Case is under the purview of Prime Bench of the Supreme Court )

6) Termination of 113 Assistant Professors' jobs in different colleges by the HC

7) SC/ST promotion case in which Manik's loyal Law Secretary DataMohan Jamatia is facing Contempt of Court charges simply because of his note against Chief Justice of High Court

8) Irregularities in issuing of order to all District Education Officers to but books written by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and former Chief Secretary S K Panda published by Debanada Dam of Gyan Bichitra , a publisher known to very closed to CM Manik

9) Irregularities in the recruitment of Firemen jobs for allegedly taking bribes ( newly appointed youths yet to join their services )

10) Irregularities of TPSC in selecting candidates for Sub Inspectors( men and women)

List may include many more. Thus, its clear that another fresh audit by an independent team may unearthed the dark faces of Manik Sarkar led LF Gov't. This is not at all what the CPI-M wants especially ahead of the tough challenge to be faced in 2018 .

It is to be mentioned here that giving its verdict in the PILs demanding CBI probe in Bishalgarh R D Block's MGNREGA scam the Division Bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta and Justice Subhashish Talapatra asked the CAG to suggest the names of two or three teams through which Special Audit can be dine on each and every block before deciding on CBI probe.

A highly placed source in the state Secretariat told TIWN ," Sensing the consequences of the Special Audit , state gov't is likely to appear before the Supreme Court for stay order. There is no doubt that Team Manik is really very concerned that such an audit will surely unearth many such scams and it will cause a big damage to the face value of Manik Sarkar, CPI -M's poster man . Thus, decision to appear the before the Apex Court is likely to be taken soon after consultation with the legal experts. "

It is to be mentioned here that one amd half year before opposition parties, especially Congress ,rocked the state regarding the massive scams in different centrally sponsored schemes.

However, a top level PCC leader said , " It was because of AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's pressure that the Congress party led by Sudip Roy Barman had to bounce back from this movement ." Political analysts say that Sitaram Yechury met Rahul Gandhi several times to save the prestige of LF Gov't in Tripura as well as CM Manik .

After his talks with Sitaram , AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi sent a special message to Sudip Roy Barman saying ," Well done ! But go slow. " And after this Congress practically withdrew movement against the LF Gov't in the state.

And now in Tripura , Congress has practically lost its relevance. So it won't disturb the LF Gov't or Manik Sarkar and that too after the ongoing alliance between both the parties in the West Bengal Assembly Polls .

But the mysterious silence of BJP is surprising every one. Till date BJP has not made any significant movement against the state gov't though people of Tripura have already started to keep their faith on BJP .

Recent polls in the state especially the by-election of three Assembly Polls in Khayerpur, Surma and Birganj BJP appeared as the Second party. Still state BJP unit is not uttering any word against the ongoing corruption in the state.

This is nothing but giving a new dimension to state politics. When Biplab Deb assumed the chair of state BJP President everyone hoped that he would give a new direction to state politics .

However, so far he seems to have been very busy with his organization. Occasionally he made complaints to Central Gov't, but till date he has not made any attempt to make the people aware about the massive corruption in the state .
