AGARTALA, May 5 (TIWN): 07 Bn Border Security Force, deployed at Nalkata, Distt- Dhalai under Sector Panisagar of Tripura Frontier celebrated its 31st raising day on 05th May’2016 with great fanfare. The unit, having being raised on 05 May’1986 at Hisar (Haryana) has completed 30 years of its glorious existence. In that, it has successfully accomplished the assigned task in extremely challenging and multifaceted rolls of security of Indian border, line of control and internal security duties in various part of the country.

The unit has a distinct privilege and honour of being adjudged as the best Bn of the Border Security Force in the year 2013, for which it was presented with the prestigious ‘General Chaudhary Trophy’. The unit also has the distinction of being decorated with one PPMG (Posthumously), one PPMS and 56 DG’s commendation roll.

 The week long celebrations commenced with conduct of Sector level training event, Barakhana with troops at Bn HQ as well as BOPs, cultural events, prayer at Sarva Dharam Sthal, Commandant’s Sainik Sammellan and got conducted with a dinner get-together at Nalkata Officer’s Mess today. Mr D K Sharma, DIG Sector Panisagar present on the occasion as Chief Guest lauded the performance of the unit and extended his best wishes and warm greetings to all ranks of the unit under the able leadership of Mr S A Shrivastava, Commandant.
