AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN):North , South , Gomati , Dhalai, West , Sipahijala of Tripura undergoing massive power crisis affecting the daily lives of millions of people. Many electrical posts were damaged and many have been remained unrepaired due to apathy of Tripura's lameduck Govt.
Mostly affected areas have been identified and report had been sent to Revenue Department .
Repeatedly, after few splashes of rain every time, whole Tripura goes dark as continuous loadsheddings cripple public life.
Many parts of Tripura even stay neglected even for last 2 to 3 days. All these happen due to the loose connection of power lines.
Allegations are coming that the state govt. presently is under huge trouble due to the large amount of unpaid bills and may be govt. is trying to manage the bill with long power cuts across Tripura.
According to the sources, since 2 days after storms electricity supply completely stopped and due to this all hospitals are also in pathetic condition.
In Sabroom , Belonia , Santirbazar continuous loadsheddings stopped works inside operation theatre, even for hours emergency service was halted. It was reported that power has come back in some places, although some of the places still facing power cut.
However without any prior announcement--in many places of North Tripura and South Tripura are facing acute power-crisis now a days, even without storms also.
Every day the power goes around 11 am and some times comes after evening, especially in other subdivisions except Agartala. However, public don’t get relief either as from evening to next morning the load-shedding continues. Resentment has been brewing among the people due to continuous load-shedding.
Since last 2 days power was cut and but electricity department had no concerns about it. South Tripura’s many subdivisions were also under the same problem, after the rain.
