AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): Suffocating summer heating up Tripura, making lives intolerable here.
With 32 degree Celsius, lives have become miserable for Tripura people. Reportedly, state has been sizzling at temperatures above 32 degrees Celsius as the weatherman said there is no hope of an early respite.
The heat is making life difficult for the common public here.
Water scarcity is another problem now. Half of the state’s interior areas especially hilly areas, has been without water for days, said report.
The continuous rain has been disrupted since a week and Just within 1/ 2 week gap of rain, Tripura is suffering under terrible heat, resulting in various kinds of diseases and sickness among the common people.
Due to this weather various diseases like diarrhea, dysentery creates havoc in the remotest part of the State.
With the arrival of summer, , there seems to be a growing patronage among citizens for up market fruit juice stalls selling exotically named milk and fruit concoctions.
With the doctors reporting a rise in several ailments. Cases of heat exhaustion, muscle cramps, stomach upsets and vomiting are also on the rise.
The doctors advised people take in lots of water, salt and sugar and avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun. However with the onset of summer season, various water borne diseases like diarrhea, dysentery affects the people especially in the rural areas.
Women and girls of the rural parts of the state Tripura bear the burden of walking miles at a time to gather water from streams and ponds full of waterborne disease that is making them and their families sick.
