Former opposition leader held opinion exchange meeting with other members of congress

AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): Former opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman who recently resigned from his post has conducted an opinion exchange meeting with the other members of the congress who resigned from their position at Henry Derezio school on Sunday.


However, the sources said that the former leader hold an opinion exchange meeting to discuss about the upcoming steps to be taken to develop as a forum in the state.

The sources further said that the meeting mainly discussed on the issues like which party will they join now, what steps they will take in the coming days and others.

It is to be mentioned here that a total of thirty-five members of Tripura Pradesh Youth Congress Committee resigned from their post.

Following the footstep of the other three leaders, namely Sudip Roy Barman, Ashish Kumar Saha and Sushanta Chowdhury, all the thirty-five members also resigned from their post.

In their resignation letter, the members have strongly condemned about the alliance between the Congress and Left Front. Besides, they also called this move as unethical.

They have forwarded the resignation letter to Indian Youth Congress President Amrinder Singh Raja Brar and also a copy to AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

In the letter they have mentioned that the resignation letter has been submitted in protest of the unethical alliance between Congress and the Left Front in West Bengal Assembly Election.

However, they also mentioned that due to which it has become impossible for them to continue further in the position and fight against the left.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier, Sudip Roy Barman, Ashish Kumar Saha and Sushanta Chowdhury has resigned from their post protesting against the alliance of the party.

However, this situation has lead Congress in Tripura in deep trouble with two senior party functionaries resigning from their posts in protest against alliance with Left parties in West Bengal Assembly polls.
