UDAIPUR, April 14 (TIWN): The price of Hilsha fish here in Udaipur touched Rs. 2000/- per kilo.

People here preferred mostly other fishes. In compared to the other fishes Hilsha has made the highest record here in Tripura.

It’s to be mentioned here that Price of Hilsa is shooting skyward this year too making impossible for buying for the poor and many middle class families.

Skyrocketing price of Hilsa during New Year, has kept the buyers at bay.

According to reports, Hilsa, a delicacy, weighing between 500 and 700 gm was available for anything between Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,200 in the retail market. The fish weighing more than a kg was sold between Rs 2,000 and Rs 2,500 also in some places.
