Tripura welcomes Bengali New Year 1423

AGARTALA, April 14 (TIWN) : New year celebration begins from the dawn on Thursday.

People rushed to the food market, women and girls busy with puja, making flower garland for Gods and Goddess’s idols at home.

As the new year is a way to getting together with families and friends, so market also attracts the public a lot on that day.

People are praying to lord Ganesh’s  in their shops, house-holds with the hope for a better New Year.

But public still busy in buying new clothes, and the exchanges sweets and pleasantries among friends and acquaintances have been started.

Bengal-Hindus throughout Tripura and also other places of India are celebrating the new year with the year-end of another year.

On Wednesday people celebrated 'Chaitra Sankranti' with some exciting fairs and festivals like Gajan and Charak. Now saying goodbye to the earlier year time has begun to start the year 1423.
