Land acquisition turns to be the biggest hurdle in flyover construction work, agency facing tough time to progress with the construction work

AGARTALA, April 13 (TIWN): On the one hand the deadline is hanging like a sword above the head of the construction agency and on the other hand the agency is facing tough time in progressing with construction work due to the land acquisition problem from Bordowali to Nagerjala area. Earlier it was the underground water pipes and now it is the land acquisition which is giving a serious threat to the construction work. The assigned construction agency NBCC is facing tough time with the drilling work mainly from government press at Bordowali area to Nagerjala due to the land acquisition problem and alleged lack of communication from AMC regarding the under lying water pipes crossing the roads. Now the biggest problem in front of agency which is creating hurdles in the construction is regarding land acquisition issue mainly from government press at Bordowali area to Nagerjala. The land acquisition issue at Bordowali and underground water pipe channels are creating problems for the agency to carry out the construction work in the mentioned area.

As the government has not yet made clear the underground set up of the underground water channels the construction agency is facing problem to carry out the work smoothly.

It is to be mentioned here that of 68 pillars which would be set up in the entire stretch of the pillar from Dropgate to firebrigade chowmuhani where work for the 28 pillars is underway so far.

The construction of the first pier for most of the pillars is underway.

The work is carried out 24 hours in a day without any break and around 300 labourers are engaged in the work. However, they are guided by about 50 to 52 efficient engineers.

Maintaining the quality of the construction material is the top most priority of the company, effort is made to provide quality work.

Iron frame structure for pillars is already set up with the help of steel and iron bars and cement concrete. With the ongoing days, it is seen that the work progress is gaining momentum and will be completed in the given duration.

The construction work of the first ever flyover of Tripura has gained momentum as the work has began in fullswing at all the spots.

Looking forward to complete the fly over construction in the given deadline, the work is progressing in full swing. However, with the completion of the basement work at Battala the work is extended towards bordowali.

The flyover was a long term demand of the city dwellers and it needs to be introduced soon to contain heavy traffic congestion which is increasing along with the moving hands of the clock.
