KAMALPUR, April 10 (TIWN): The tradition of embezzlement and corruption continues at full swing in the DWS Kamalpur division. It’s no matter to the officials whether the commoners get the drinking water or not. They got happily indulged in corrupt practices to pocket heavy amount of profit at the year ending. And the practice remained at full swing this year too.

According to the sources closed to Kamalpur division, this year the embezzlement had occurred in the case of issuing Form-II works. Such works got entitled under the discretion of Executive Engineer and the SDO. And this year in total 38 Form-II works got entitled to a single contractor of Fulchari area against fake works. Now, the Form-II works were also entitled to other contractors as well.

But the other contractors had to complete the works. But that privileged contractor got the bills passed without any work. Further, he also got the cheques for those fake works and drew the bills from the bank. Now, the amount got properly distributed among the officials according to the pre-scheduled share.

At a time when the state government claimed to be honest and dynamic, then the long cherished practices of corruption went on unrestrained her at kamalpur.
