AGARTALA, April 6 (TIWN): Soaring price of the essential commodities in the state is turning to major worries for the common mass.
It is to be mentioned here that the sudden increase in the price of petrol by Rs.2.19 a litre and diesel by 98 paise has given shock to the common mass.
However, mostly the families belong to poor and middle class are massively hit with prolonged inflation going on the state.
Just when counting days are left for the Bengali New Year, the inflation in the Tripura market has hits the common mass massively.
Besides, the price of the vegetables and other food items are getting out of reach of the budget of the common mass.
Take the case of rice, pulses, bus fares, auto fares or anything for that matter.
Prices have risen sharply in just one month, after a hefty hike in diesel prices. The cascading effect of diesel price hike is leaving many households high and dry.
It is tough for a middle class family to manage things when prices are hitting the roof.
The rise in transportation costs due to the spurt in freight charges announced by goods transport agencies had an impact on prices of many commodities.
On the other hand, other essential commodities also cost high. It is to be mentioned here that from April 1 the cost of sugar has also increased by Rs. 6.
However, it has become tough for the senior citizens and daily wages labourers to meet their monthly need.
It is to be mentioned here that every time while addressing the mass the misters never gets tiered to mention that the ruling Government stands besides the common mass.
Now the question, when the common masses are being troubled with the prolonged price hike where that promise goes.
With this hike, the prices of all commodities are bound to rise affecting common people. Inflation will reach new heights
