AGARTALA, April 5 (TIWN): Chances of rain prevails high here in Tripura within next 24 hours, said environmental specialists.

The continuous rainfall which has hit the state on Sunday & Monday, however it has taken a little break.

Sun has been seen for a while on Tuesday.

But according to the MET forecast in the next 24 hours rain again may come.

Rain although brought relief for a while for the people of Tripura, but on the other hand people are getting disturbed due to the continuous rain.

Businessmen are undergoing losses, whereas women at home are complaining for being unable to wash houses and clothes,  which is  a part of ritual before the Bengali New Year.

In rural areas people are at loss as many of their houses has been collapsed and in many places electrical posts have come out of soils, but due to continuous rain the situation are not changing.

At Agartala this terrible condition of water logging on the roads is mainly due to the improper disposal of garbage which is not properly disposed and enters into drainage systems and clogs the drains.

Further, it obstructs the free flow of the water that enters into these drains causing water to back up during rainfall, flooding the surrounding area.

But the chances of more losses and disturbance in common lives are still high.
