However, the scenario of huge crowd job seekers in front of the Department gave an estimate number of educated unemployed in the state. There was a huge crowd observed inside at the corridors of the Department offices in scorching heat. As the State lacks proper opportunities for the youth and besides, the youth do not have option to work in any private sectors where they can use their skills and also do not had to stay unemployed. Unemployment stands as serious problem in Tripura as young graduates have no place to search jobs other than enrolling names as CPI-M cadres in party offices. The State Government where claims that initiatives must be taken to decrease unemployment on the other hand they are not bothered to get an employment.

Tripura has third highest unemployment, 2013’s report says. Tripura is a state, which has no proper industry where people can run their livelihood; neither has it had any proper source of income.

In few states people often carry out their livelihoods by tourism, but at Tripura all the source of income has been closed with the negligence role of the state govt. So govt. job has left as the only way, but here govt. is engaged to depriving the youths, alleged one of the youth.

Although the state govt. has failed to provide jobs to the qualified youths of the state, govt. with its full strives is setting up the State University to provide “Quality education”.

On August 7, Tripura Legislative assembly tabled the report of the Select Committee on Maharaja Bir Bikram University Bill, 2015 aiming to provide quality education in the state. The Manik Sarkar government has failed to give employment to lakhs of unemployed youths during his 15-year rule. How many more years will it take to give jobs to the youths?
