AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): After completion of the inspection at Agartala railway station the CRS team lead by Railway safety commissioner sailesh kumnar Pathak is now inspecting the work status at Ambassa on Tuesday.

However, the source further claimed that the team arrived at Ambassa on Tuesday morning and started inspection in to the work status.

According to the source, the team will further move to Dharmanagar on Wednesday and will conduct inspection.

With the aim to ensure full safety, Railway safety commissioner sailesh kumnar Pathak on Sunday last took a detailed note of the work status at Agartala railway station.

As per the plan, the Railway Safety Commissioner reached here in Agartala with his team and started the inspection for the safety run of the train under his direct supervision.

The safety inspection is the last step in facilitating commissioning of the route, which connects Tripura with other parts of the country. Though the gauge conversion works were completed month ago, the safety inspection was delayed, raising concern among train commuters.

According to Railway sources, the mandatory final safety inspection would be conducted by experts for at least 6 days. Railways can run services on the route only after the safety inspection and certification by the CRS.

Depending on the report of CRS inspection the train will be set to run on the tracks.

It is to be mentioned here that the inspection had began from morning 11 and will be carried out in 9 trolleys.   Even three trolleys are also brought at Agartala.

Apart from the CRS inspection the track is all set to run the train; however the train cannot be rolled until it gets CRS clearance.

On commissioning, this section will provide an alternative link to the rail network in Tripura.

The new broad gauge line will improve rail connectivity between Tripura and other states of the country.
