Rain hits the state on Monday morning, brings much relief from the scorching heat

AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): With sudden splash of rain in isolated part of the state on Monday morning the people of Tripura got much relief from the scorching heat.

A sudden rain that lashed a few parts of the State in the morning brought the much -needed relief to people from sweltering heat conditions prevailing across the State for the last few days.

For people of the capital city and few other areas, it was like a blessing in disguise.

Cloudy weather is expected to prevail for next 24 hours in the state. However, rain has also hit Dharmanagar and Udaipur since Monday morning.

People in Tripura heaved a sigh of relief after moderate rain was witnessed in many places in the state. Several villages also received moderate to heavy rainfall, inundating fields in a few villages.

But continuous rain may damage the crops. However, after the rain, brought delight to the residents, who were reeling under sweltering heat.

On the other hand, this rain will solve few amount of water scarcity. It is to be mentioned that many interior tribal localities in Tripura are facing acute drinking water crisis.

 People there have to rely upon water hand pumps and local streams installed in few villages and rain relieves them from this dry season.
