KAMALPUR, March 19 (TIWN): The most recent hike in the petrol and diesel added to the problems of the pliers, here at this sub-division of Kamalpur. The crisis got more intense due to the ongoing crisis for quite a long period. The matter also got more complicated as the sub-division had only one filling station.
The crisis of petrol and fuel turned to be a regular happenings in the state for last two or three months.
Every time when the price reduced the pump owners hanged the ‘no petrol’ board or refused to give petrol in reduced price saying that, they had not yet got that reduced price petrol. Moreover, the plight of NH-44 and occasional ceases of vehicular movement added to the problem.
As a result, the people of Kamalpur witnessed very tough times regarding petrol and diesel. Further, the sub-division could avail the facility from only one filling station at Halhali.
Hence, the filling station had to manage the excessive pressure of supplying fuel. In the recent crisis period, the filling station could hardly provide fuel of 100 rupees to motorbikes and 200 to 300 rupees to four wheelers.
Now, as the price increased freshly, so the problem became more intense with the crisis situation. The retail sellers of fuel who used to sell fuels in their shops, helped greatly to manage the situation. People could somehow manage to get fuels from those sellers even in an increased rate. However, the administration and political leaders remained in happy mood as they faced no problem in getting fuels. Now, who could remedy the problem of the commoners, remained the question.
