DHARMANAGAR, March 18 (TIWN) : Special Judge (District Sessions Judge) North Tripura, Dharmanagar convicted one accused namely Samar Nath (27), S/O Dipesh Nath of Suknachara, PS- Kanchanpur sentenced to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for life with pay a fine of Rs. 10,000/- i.d to suffer R.I for 01 (one) year for offence punishable U/S 4 of PCSO Act & further sentence to suffer R.I for 01 (One) year and pay a fine of Rs. 1,000/- i.d to suffer 01 month for offence punishable U/S 448 IPC in c/w Kanchanpur P.S Case No. 39/14 U/S 448/376/506 IPC & section 4 of PCSO Act.
The case was registered on 17-05-2014 on the complaint of Bhajan Nath S/O Ratan Mani Nath of Suknacherra, PS- Kanchanpur that on 09-05-14 at about 1700 hrs when the complainant’s minor daughter (16 Yrs) was alone in her house at that time the above named a/p entered into their house and forcibly committed rape upon the complainant’s daughter.
After commission of the crime the a/p also threatened the victim, not to disclose the matter to anybody, but on the following day the victim disclosed the matter to her parents and subsequently the above case was registered.
The case was investigated by SI Parikshit Debbarma of Kanchanpur P.S. During investigation I.O of the case has taken up all efforts on investigation of the case with priority basis, examined with relevant witnesses and collected evidences including scientific evidences.
Based on evidences I.O arrested the involved accused person and forwarded to the Ld. court. On completion of investigation I.O submitted charge-sheet with in one and half months against the above accused person for facing trial in the court of law.
Based on evidences, testimonial of I.O & other witnesses Ld. Special Judge (District Sessions Judge) North Tripura, Dharmanagar,Udit Chowdhury convicted the above named accused person. PP was Swapan Kr. Nath.
