DHARMANAGAR, March 15 (TIWN): In yet another jolt, a 40 years man has allegedly raped a minor girl of 9 years at Dharmanagar, North Tripura.
The accused has been identified as Gobinda Deb (40). However, the accused is presently, absconding and police is left clueless about the rapist.
However, FIR has been lodged at Dharmanagar Police station, when the minor girl became seriously injured after the incident.
Police is presently giving no details about the accused and doing investigation in their own way.
The victim’s father named Subino Dhar, resident of Algapur, under Dharmanagr Police Station with the case No. 6/16 364 (b) 8 of act 2012.
It’s to be mentioned here that the physical violence is getting rampant day after day in the State.
Everyday rapes have become very common here. Most of the crimes especially in villages often goes unreported and unrecorded.
Various times it happens that few political leaders promise that victim family to help the victim and to bear the whole expense for her study, but after few advertisement of the party, via the victim all of the leaders escape from the scenery.
In this way rape victims have become a matter of joke for Tripura’s society.
It will be necessary to say that the number of crimes against women has gone up in Tripura in the recent years, with the Crimes ‘in India ’report for 2015 published by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Tripura ranks 4rth in crime against women and 2nd in whole North Eastern, where Assam stands first.
