KAMALPUR, March 15 (TIWN): In the tenure of the Manik’s trumpeted ‘golden regime’, the teachers under the disbursal of Kamalpur Education Inspectorate spent the first half of March restlessly. And the situation became so as almost two thousands of teachers spent the first half of March without salary. Though it might seem unprecedented, but it actually happened here.
In this month the teachers under Durgachowmuhani, Salema and Ganganagar blocks not received their salary within the first week of March, as remained customary. At first, the TGTA and SSA leaders tried to soothe the teachers saying that, the delay occurred due to the online linking of the salary with Agartala. But it proved to be false.
Then it got unearthed that, the salaries of those teachers were paid from non-plan head which was diverted to some other accounts on the eve of election.
Then it got feared that, if the salary was not be paid within 15th, then the teachers should wait for the next month. The TGTA leadership also felt that, if it happened so then the resentment would not be controlled.
Then, the salaries were disbursed today. It resulted for the teachers to heave a sigh of relief.
However, when the Inspector of Schools, Abhijit Sinha was tried to be contacted on this point, then his mobile found switched off. Later, he was not found in his office. The staffs informed him to be some school visit.
