KUMARGHAT, March 14 (TIWN) : The price hike of sugar has affected the daily lives of common people in Tripura. BJP has placed deputation to the SDM of Kumarghat subdivision to take action against the price hike and to bring a relief from the sugar price. BJP also organized a huge protest rally at there on Monday.
According to the reports, the state Government had increased the price of sugar from the ration by Rs. 6 in every kilograms, (which was informed on March 8) and it was said that the hiked price will be implemented from April 1.
However, BJP has been running protest everywhere in the state to control the sugar price.
It was on May 10 that raising voice against the sudden price hike of sugar BJP staged protest in front of the Food and Civil supplies office at Gurkhabasti, Agartala.
At Belonia also BJP send letter to the Chief Minister with the demand of decreasing the price hike.
However, although oppositions are alleging the state govt. for rampant price hike but the ruling govt. is just silently ignoring the issue.
There seems no chance of decreasing the price hike of sugar.
