AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): With the violent attack on Minister Manik Dey, it has proved that party keeps under table relationship with the mafia gangs for their own benefits. Although the attacker is arrested but there is no major progress in the case.Allegedly in the name of illness the big heads of the Melarmath office are trying to hush up the issue for saving corrupt episode of the CPI-M party.It is to be mentioned here that the there is no major progress in the case. Question arise is it a process of hushing up the case to save the corrupt links of the CPI-M party in front of the common people.Security of all ministers of the state cabinet has been beefed up following the attack on Manik Dey, transport minister inside Melarmath CPI (M) party office. Following the instructions of chief minister Manik Sarkar DGP K Nagraj has increased the security of all ministers.Health and Family Welfare Minister Badal Choudhury was injured when he tried to prevent an attack on Transport Minister Manik Dey by a youth in the CPI-M party headquarter. Police arrested the accused youth identified as Samir Debnath of Ranirbazar under Minister Dey's constituency and accordingly produced him to a local court today demanding 7 (seven) days police remand.Court, however, send the accused person for 5 days police remand. A personal dairy having details of some ministers of the state with their photographs was also recovered from his possession.

Reportedly, Minister Manik Dey told him to meet him in office but when he wanted money immediately, Dey refused resulting to rise in chaos. Suddenly, he got angry and attempted to hit me with a chair in the presence of other leaders. Minister Badal Choudhury got injured when he prevented the youth before security got in.

However, the youth made similar attempt on Minister Dey at his residence last year. The accused belongs to an influential CPI-M family from Ranirbazar Municipal area. The reason behind the attack is still unknown.

Agitated over playing corruption with the party cadres and bluffing them all the way turned a cadre of the ruling party violent after a party cadre attacked Minister Manik Dey for alleged embezzlement of 4lakhs of rupees.

It is to be mentioned here that CPI (M) is a well-organized party and has exploited the State machinery completely to further its cause.

There is absolutely no department wherein the sway of CPI (M) doesn’t hold good.  Despite the much vaunted transparency, there is rampant corruption everywhere. There is no democratic institution which is free from it. Bishalgarh scam, old age Pension Scam, NRHM scam, scam at Education Department are the proverbial tips of the ice berg – much waits to be unearthed.
