AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Due to the prolonged reported illness of Minister Bhanulal Saha, the responsibility of his department has been temporarily handed over to three other Ministers of the State on Thursday.

According to the sources report, the responsibility of Information and Cultural Affairs Department has been temporarily handed over to Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik.

Besides, the responsibility of the Finance Department has been handed over to Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty and Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affaires to Transport Minister Manik Dey.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier Minister Bhanulal Saha was detected with cancer in a Kolkata based private hospital. The source claimed that Minister Bhanulal Saha has been diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer and will undergo treatment in state cancer hospital.

According to the reports, Minister Bhanu Lal Saha was elected from Bishalgarh assembly seat and hold following portfolio in Tripura state ministry for Food, Civil supplies and Consumers Affairs and Information and Cultural Affairs and Finance.

It is to be mentioned here that proper awareness and early detection of the disease are the best ways to get rid of the cancer. Awareness will educate people on the benefits of early detection and ways to facilitate cancer treatment. However, the disease is curable if detected at an early stage.

However, to maintain smoothness in the work progress in various departments in the state which has been assigned to Minister Bhanulal Saha, the departments has been handed over to Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik, Transport Minister Manik Dey and Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty.
