AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): Reacting over the issue of destroying BJP booth office at Bordowali on Wednesday late night BJP supporters and members on Thursday placed deputation to SDM Manik Lal Das demanding compensation for destroying the office. Talking to media, BJP members said that the BJP party office at Battala was broken on Wednesday midnight without giving any prior notification. Resentment sparked among the local leaders of BJP when AMC task force and huge TSR force under the leadership of SDM Manik lal das broke the party office posing tough time to the road side vendors who sits there with their stalls. The task force has destroyed the flags and festoon of the BJP party and has also uprooted the set up of the office. Raising voice against the step taken by the administration the BJP party members have placed deputation to SDM Manik Lal Das demanding a suitable reason behind the incident. They also demanded to held discussion meet in next 48 hours and give response over the issue or election the party will take major steps.The flags festoons and the decorations of BJP just after the recently concluded VC election were destroyed, alleged the BJP leader on Thursday.The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that it was done without giving any prior notice which is completely illegal. The task force have destroyed party flags, festoons at Bordowali sparking huge resentment among the party members. It is to be mentioned here that the flags were torn, banners were thrown in the drain and the banners and the posters were also destroyed.
However, accepting the demands placed by the BJP leaders, SDM Manik Lal Das assured that a discussion meet will be organised soon to solve the issue within next 48 hours.
