AGARTALA, March 3 (TIWN): 24 Bangladeshi infiltrators in police custody from Gandacharra under Rashyabari Maharaja BOP. They were arrested while they were trying to hire a car to visit other places in the state. There are 43 in numbers but 19 among them were able to escape. They stayed at night at Mog Para. In the morning they tried to move to other place.

According to Sources, due to communal clash in Bangladesh the minorities enter into India especially in Tripura and Assam. Most of them were the residents of Khagrachari of Bangladesh.

Police said, the detained 24 people were produced to court. Local people alleged that due to negligence of BSF the infiltration is high in the area.
