AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Tripura HC on Tuesday in its judgement has sent two accused to life term imprisonment in allegation of rape and murder incident in the year 2006.

Reportedly, in the year 2006, 6 March on the day of ADC election results one man was killed and a woman was molested by three youths at sabroom.

Reortedly, after getting drunk the youths attacked the house of Manoranjan Tripura and raped his wife and killed his parents.

However, the case was reported by Special office camp and later case was also filed. Udaipur district and session court has sent the accused to life term imprisonment to Agun Tripura and Baidya Tripura.

Later challenging the decision of the lower court the accused have appealed in the HC. However HC has done the hearing of the case on February 17, but the judgement was kept reserved.

On Wednesday, HC in its judgement kept stick to the lower court decision and the accused was given life term imprisonment along with Rs 10,000 of fine.
