WEST TRIPURA / NORTH TRIPURA / SOUTH TRIPURA, March 2 (TIWN) : East, West, North & South, in all corners of Tripura, Tripura Board exams have been kicked off, but surprisingly except those students appearing for examinations, no one else is concerned about it. Either the disturbing issues of loud sounds or sudden vehicle strikes, hapless students are left in a lurch. TBSE+2 examination has begun from Wednesday and the Madhyamik exam beginning from Thursday. However CBSE Exam has already started from Tuesday, i.e. March 1. Due to Govt apathy, alongwith board exams the disturbances are escalating in full wave in Tripura. Reportedly, on Tuesday when a sudden vehicle strike by unruly vehicle drivers had disrupted the traffic movement in 4 districts. Whereas many students had options for school buses, but others faced a lot of problem due to CPI-M motor union strikes. Moreover, due to the strike on Tuesday by CPI-M's motor Union, the school buses also took a long time to ply on the roads. Such conditions not only kill time, but also disturb the students' mind before the examination. During night in various areas, loud music due to functions held by local public, disturbing the students' study. Although instructions are given to turn off the music after 10 pm, but the state Govt. should revise its policy that students prepare themselves for the next day examination not after 10 pm but during the daytime, evening hours. Frequent power cuts is another problem, specially for the students who are living in rural areas. As a result frequent load-shedding, loud noise, traffic disruption are pushing students life to peril in 2016 TBSE, CBSE Exams.

Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty should use his brain and find ways to help the students, as they are also the future of the state.

On the one hand whether the state govt. claims for holding the highest literacy rate, on the other hand the negligence of enforcing laws during the exams and wrong attitude of the Education dept comdemnable.

It’s to be mentioned here that the state govt. should not be sitting duck over the issue with the thought that those who make noise often take shelter behind Article 19(1)A pleading freedom of speech and right to expression.

But Indian Supreme Court has noticed  that the freedom of speech and right to expression are fundamental rights but the rights are not absolute. Nobody can claim a fundamental right to create noise by amplifying the sound of his speech with the help of loudspeakers.

So, the so called 'golden era' of Manik Sarkar, which is witnessing more rapes, murders, corruptions than any other State in country, where is the priority for students ???
