AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): The HS examination, conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE), began in the state on Wednesday across 359 schools.

However, ICSE and CBSE examination has already began in the school and the bell for the TBSE examination has also began fromWednesday. Besides, full-fledged preparation is going on in full swing for the Madhyamik examinations scheduled to begin from Thursday.

According to the reports, the TBSE exam for Madhymik has been scheduled to commence from March 3.

Reportedly, a total of 25,928 students are appearing the TBSE HS examination including 11,686 female students and 14,282 male students.

Apart 172 disabled students are also appearing the examination.

Tripura Board of Secondary Education was established in the year 1973 by an Act (Tripura Act.No. 12).

However, the board has started its functioning from January 1 in the year 1976.

It is to be mentioned here that earlier when the Tripura Board was not established all the High and Higher Secondary Schools located in Tripura state were affiliated with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

The Secondary education is expected to continue till March 28 of 2016. Besides, the Madrasa Madhyamik Pariksha Schedule has also begun from March 3 and is expected to continue till April 4 of 2016.

It is to be mentioned here that in India, board examinations are refer to the public examinations that occur at the end of the 9th to 10th grade education (SSC), or at the end of the 11th to 12th grade education (HSC).

However, the scores achieved in these exams are considered very important for getting into university, getting into professional courses or training programmes, and even possibly in finding employment. The Tripura Board of Secondary Education would make effort to announce the results of both Higher Secondary and Madhyamik examination by June.
