SABROOM, Feb 28 (TIWN) : Severe corruption in the mid-day meal scheme at schools has come under scanner, thanks to the incooperation of the school inspectors. School sources said, the Food Department depicted the crystal clear picture of corruptions in most of the schools in Sabroom Sub Division regarding mid-day meal, but no step has been taken by the school inspectors so far.

The district deputy education director including sub divisional magistrate expressed dissatisfaction on the irresponsibility of the school inspectors. School sources said that malpractice regarding the mid-day meal is prevailing there. According to source Mid Day Meal fund flow was stopped for two months.

As per their investigation, the in charge authorities of the mid-day meal is reportedly involved in the malpractice. In the last 2 months, such malpractices have been noticed in total four schools.

Regarding Gardhang HS School, Satchand HS School , Manu HS School, Sabroom HS School,Sabroom Girls HS School, Kalyan Nagar HS School, Maria Charra High school, shortage of rice was found.

On the other hand, the school inspectors said that no such malpractices are prevailing in these schools. Rather, they directed the Food officials not to spread any baseless rumors in the area.
