AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Tripura High Court on Saturday rejected the recorded statements of two witnesses presented before the Court over the hearing of MLA Parimal Saha murder case.Reportedly, Tripura High Court has rejected the statements of two-witness. Besides, it has been declared that the question and answer procedure regarding the murder case has been scheduled to be conducted on March 8 next. It is to be mentioned here that recently the defence lawyer of MLA Parimal Saha murder case has filed in High Court for accepting the certified copy of post mortem as evidence. According to the reports, court has agreed to accept the post-mortem report as the evidence for the murder case. It is expected that the post-mortem report will be very helpful to dig out the hidden truth related to the murder case. However, High Court on Saturday stated that the question-answer session will be conducted on March 8. Earlier, the as a part of the hearing of the case, the accused were interrogated in the court under section 313. After the Public prosecutor in court demanded to produce the report as a part of testimony to precede the level of the case, court has agreed to put up it as evidence.

However, earlier Former Judge Narayan Chandra Das, Dr.Nitya Ranjan Datta, Dr.Rajat Bhattacharjee, and soma Ghosh have also recorded their statement into the sensational Parimal Saha murder case.

It is to be mentioned here that in the year 1983 during the Block Advisory Committee election MLA Parimal Saha was brutally murdered by some unknown assailants on Agartala Bishalgarh highway at Bishalgarh.

At that time ruling Left Front was led by Nripen Chakraborty. However, the case is yet lingering due to alleged lack of proper evidence and witness.

The case could not proceed until 1988 when Congress-led coalition government came to power. Police had submitted charge sheet against 26 accused and accordingly the trial began.

According to record, immediately after the incident, police had arrested 18 people in connection with the murder and charge sheet was submitted to District and Sessions court, West Tripura against 16 accused. During trial, two accused listed in the charge sheet died.

According to sources, the process of deposition of witnesses was completed long time ago but problem surfaced after death of the IO.

However, after so many years also the case is yet unsolved and it seems like the authority has failed to provide the correct evidence related to the murder case.
