AGARTALA, Feb 27 (TIWN): Despite of massive traffic jam observed in the City on Thursday, no traffic personnel were witnessed taking initiatives to curb down the jam in some parts of the city.
Reportedly, massive jam has been observed in the city during the office hour creating problem for the common mass in commuting from one place to another.
According to the sources report, the massive traffic chaos has also occurred due to the rally of the CPM to be organized on Wednesday at the city, protesting against the Kanhaiya case.
It is to be mentioned here that the political parties where organizes several rally and assembles in various parts of the state to promote the party, the common mass had to face the problem.
Besides, during the office hour huge chaos has been observed among the drivers as they were facing problem to park the vehicle or to ply on the road.
On the other hand, the flyover construction has also disrupted the smooth convenience of the vehicle on the roads of the city.
Most of the congestion has been observed in the Bordowali area and the Battala area. Where it use to take 15 minute for a passenger to cover the area from dropgate to Battala, the same road takes 30 to 45 minute to cover after the construction of the flyover work begins.
Besides, the city has turned to accident prone area with huge hollow created for the ground level foundation pillar, any time any kind of untoward incident can occur risking the life of the people.
However, on Wednesday massive traffic jam has been observed in the city leading to huge crowd in the city which includes the Battala area and the Motorstand.
However, it is expected that with the completion of the construction of the flyover work the traffic jam may be curbed down.
It is to be mentioned here that despite of the massive traffic jam very few traffic personnel were observed on the roads. As these few traffic personnel are not enough to curb and manage the traffic jam.
On the other hand, complains also raised that there are some unruly drivers who carry passengers from in between the road without any stoppage creating chaos for the vehicles.
However, immediate action must be taken to curb down the rising chaos in the city and it creating problem for the passengers and the employees.
