'Massive rigging, booth-capturing witnessed in Tripura VC Poll 2016' : Oppositions slam CPI-M

AGARTALA, Feb 25 (TIWN) : Clashes among the political groups has once again hit the VC (village council) Election 2016 and oppositions parties mounting allegations against CPI-M for violating the polling environment in many parts of Tripura during the VC Election held on wednesday.Congress leader Birajit Sinha while talking to TIWN said that till now many allegations are rising against the role of CPI-M cadres for vote rigging, which is nothing new in Tripura’s past elections.Reportedly, at Dataram Muslim Para, under Gomati Dist. CPI-M goons tried to push false voters to the polling booth, out of which clashes occurred between Cong. and CPI-M, said sources.At Udaipur’s South Maharani area, the atmosphere was tensed since the morning, as many voters were stopped to reach to the polling centres. It was also alleged that the process of rigging highly disturbed the polling environment at Rajnagar Natunmmoni SB School.It’s to be mentioned here immediately after the vote-casting was finished, BJP State President Biplab Deb held a press meet at BJP office, Agartala and Tripura BJP openly blamed CPI-M for vote rigging in interior areas.Talking to the media, BJP State President Biplab Deb on Wednesday said that due to the rigging of CPI-M Cadres in various ADC areas, many voters were unable to cast votes at their respective polling stations.“Amongst all the places, in Dhalai Dist. CPM’s rigging was done at the highest level”, said Biplab Deb.

He also said, “Since last two days, BJP supporters were harassed in many places and as a result on the day of polling many people couldn’t cast their votes also”.“Voting is every people’s right, but in CPM’s era people have been failed to cast their votes”, Deb added.

Both the BJP and Cong. brought allegations against the ruling govt. for monitoring such a rigged  polling sessions.

Rigging has become a very common practice by CPI-M in Tripura elections. 

After every elections it’s found that parties are blaming each other for misdeeds with each-others and for this election too rigging has come out as a part of common episode in Tripura Election.
