AGARTALA, Feb 25 (TIWN) : When the controversy of CPI-M and Cong. ‘alliance’ is demoralizing ground level workers in Tripura, PCC Chief Birajit Sinha said that CPI-M for own beefits raised the choice of “alliance”, whereas Cong. never gave any response to them yet.

Criticising CPI-M, he said that CPI-M is just trying to bring the party in limelight before the WB poll, whereas Cong. was always silent and simply ignored that.

Sinha also criticized the Cong. leaders of state Tripura and said, “Whereas Sonia Gandhi who is the President of the Indian National Congress party didn’t respond to CPI-M’s call, then what other people are saying doesn’t keep any value for Cong. party”.

It’s to be noted here that Sinha called Sonia Gandhi as the “Owner & Supremo” of the Cong. party and said, “Sonia Gandi’s decision is the High Command for Cong. and we are nobody to decide”.

He also added, “Whereas CPI-M was crying for party alliance with the democratic parties, Cong. didn’t bothered to think about that. It’s just a game of politics by CPI-M, in which trap Cong didn’t fell”.

Going back to the political history Sinha further said, “The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) withdrew its support in 2005, by claiming that the Indo-US nuclear deal was a threat for the country, even if it meant joining with Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)”.

“CPI-M did everything to dump Cong. at centre during UPA-II”, said Sinha. He added, “As a result it’s upto the President of Cong. party what to do and we are nobody to discuss”.

However, presently CPI-M is now seeking with "all democratic forces" to down the Trinamool party at West Bengal. Faced with the might of the ruling Trinamool Congress and a buoyant BJP, a large section of the Left in poll-bound West Bengal were rooting for an alliance with the centrist Congress.

But WB Chief Minister Mamata Bnarjee said that Trinomool is not bothered at all about all these ‘dramas’. Party is doing is works and has no time to look at what other parties are doing.

Mocking the parties initiatives Sinha also said, “CPI-M’s call towards Cong. was like one-side proposal, which Cong. never rejected though.”
