AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN) : On the day of ADC VC election 2016, BJP held press meet at BJP office at Agartala.
Talking to the media, BJP State President Biplab Deb on Wednesday said that due to the rigging of CPM Cadres in various ADC areas, many voters were unable to cast votes at their respective polling stations.
“Amongst all the places, in Dhalai Dist. CPM’s rigging was done at the highest level”, said Biplab Deb.
He also said, “Since last two days, BJP supporters were harassed in many places, as a result on the day of polling many people couldn’t cast their votes also”.
“Voting is every people’s right, but in CPM’s era people have been failed to cast their votes”, Deb told the media.
Along with Biplab Deb, BJP leader Tapas Majumder were also present in BJP office.
However Biplab Deb thanked the public for supporting their party and voting for BJP.
It’s to be mentioned here that not only BJP, but opposition Cong. had also claimed the same and brought allegation against the ruling govt. for monitoring such a rigging-full polling session.
In the last election held at Amarpur, it was alleged that the process of rigging is adopted to disrupt the smooth conduct of the election into 31 number wards in Bangkarai para SB school.
So rigging has become a very common allegation in Tripura elections.
