Huge foot fall continues to be seen in the Agartala Book Fair

AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): Just when two days are left for the 34th Agartala Book Fair to get over, huge crowd continues to be seen.

Reportedly, though on the day of the opening the crowd were observed very less but by the passing days the crowd has increased.

Besides, the stall owners who came from outside the state also complained about the less foot falls and expressed disappointment.

According to the official reports, on February 20 the books sellers have successfully sold books of worth of around Rs. 20 lakhs.

It is to be mentioned here that books are no longer limited to only knowledge and text books, the market is full of fictional and non-fictional books.

Detailing about the stalls it has been mentioned that a total of 73 stalls are expected to be set up from Tripura, Kolkata 36, Guwahati six, New Delhi three and one each from Bangladesh and Kerela.

Besides, it has mentioned that the fair will begin at 2pm in the after and will continue till 8:30 pm in the evening. Besides, during the holidays the fair will continue till 9 pm in the night.

It seems like despite of the digital era where people can buy ebooks at cheaper rate and can also buy books through online, books lovers never miss any opportunity to get touch with books.

This book fair has been witnessed with books of various languages including foreign writers, national writers and local writers.

As books are indispensable parts of every individual to an extent. Be it fiction, non-fiction, anthology, biography, mystery, romance, satire, books of any genre have adorned the shelves of every book lover, starting from their growing years to adulthood.
