AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN) : The chances of violence is sparking in hilly areas as ADC election is just after one day and IPFT memebers trying to show their full power over hills. Reportedly, already there were many clashes between CPI-M and IPFT during the polling session and ragging by IPFT is pursing in many places.
On Monday during the last day of election campaign both CPM & IPFT were in full strive to dominate over the rallies. Reportedly, especially in Khowai Dist. the chances of clashes have increased a lot.
The chances of clashes have been increased in this ADC Election, as in last ADC polls, except CPM, no strong party came out like this. But this time it’s IPFT, the party which is already in controversy for their demands of separate Tiwpra Land is in full power, which has created a terror among the local people of every ADC villages.
Before few days also, on Wednesday during the morning time, when a teacher namely Harendra Debbarma was going to his school namely Ruprai SB School, he was suddenly attacked by a group of IPFT cadres.
However, that person saved himself by escaping from the clutches of those miscreants, who were holding sharp weapons in their hands.FIR was lodged against IPFT members at Kalyanpur police station, for attacking a school teacher with sharp weapon. But no action has been taken till day.
However, during the campaign on Feb 13 at Dharmanagar Subdivision,Tripura Chief Minister said that Twipra land will never become true, but Govt. is too late to take action against them.
However, to draw ADC area’s people presently are under terror as the chances of violence is high at there. But security is tighten already to held peaceful elections at ADC areas.
