BELONIA, Feb 22 (TIWN) : Padatik Drama Group of Bangladesh staged a famous drama Macbeth composed by Shakespeare under the direction of. Professor of Drama Division of Dhaka University Sudip Chakraborty at Belonia Town Hall. Belonia Press Club observes International Mother Language Day with gaiety as a sign of mutual cultural relation with Indo-Bangla good will. A cultural group consisting 21 members has arrived from Dhaka in Belonia. The team arrives under leadership of Professor of Drama Division of Dhaka University Sudip Chakraborty.
Professor Sudip Chakrbaorty said in his speech,” India and Bangladesh were “connected by an emotional bond of language and culture, which goes beyond any formal relationship between governments”.
“Our people are one, and together we can face the big challenges of this century,” he said. He stressed on India’s neighborhood policy and said both countries had realized that “they need to work together and enhance cultural relation in the region”.
Sources said that a delegation of Press Corner and BMC welcomed the cultural team with flower bouquet at Belonia Check Post. MLA Basudeb Majumder, present chairperson and ex- chairperson of BMC were also remain present. President awarded Sujit chakraborty was also honored by Belonia press club
