AGARTALA, Feb 21 (TIWN): The CPI-M spokesperson Gautam Das on Sunday launched a tirade against BJP stating that BJP has played a game to trap Kanhayia into to the JNU incident to save itself from the bad name.

Addressing the press meet on Sunday, CPI-M spokesperson Gautam Das at party office said that BJP has brought forward false allegation against the party.

Even though national fact is different as CPI-M supporter students raised anti-national slogals at JNU.

The party strongly criticised the anti-nationalist slogans slammed against the party.  He further said that it was plan a BJP to trap Kanahiya into the web.

Adding that NDA government should de-escalate the JNU row by handing it over to the university and its students to be resolved, Das condemned the incident of lawyers allegedly beating up journalists and said that action should be taken in this issue.

The evidence based on which this conspiracy has been hatched is wrong. There is need to have an independent probe to check authenticity of the evidences, added Das.

Left front condemns the way Delhi Police is using dictatorial measures to harass students and professors of the JNU. During the entire episode some facts have come to the light that ABVP is behind this conspiracy," the party spokesperson said.

However to protest against the issue and to preserve communal right of the common people LF will hold mass rally and gathering on February 25 in the state.

JNUSU president Kumar, arrested on a sedition charge, was kicked and punched viciously inside a court complex. Half an hour later, Kumar was beaten up again, this time in a room near the courtroom earmarked for his bail hearing, according to lawyers. Hundreds of policemen who should have thrown a protective ring around Kumar as soon as he was brought into the Patiala House Courts complex did so only after the first round of assault had run its course.

However, criticising central government, Das said that this is the scenario of “Acche din” where riots spreaded in the entire nation and turned a university matter into an international issue.  He further said that BJP termed left front as anti-nationalist but left front does not need any certificate of patriotism from a party whose only agenda is to turn a Hindu nation.

Further, Speaking in the press meet, Das also said that Left front strictly criticises the comments passed by former CM Samir Ranjan Barman against left front party.

However as per the senior political analysts, even though Karat and Yechury's anti-national stance with JNU /Kahanaiya episide might not cost them any damage due to non-exitstance of party nationally but its costing CPI-M image heavily in Tripura as .arty is in power.
