AGARTALA, Feb 21 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Samir Barman on Sunday in a press meet at his residence slammed CPI-M as a corrupt party who has-been looting the common people for their own benefits in the state. Samir Ranjan Barman was the Chief Minister of Tripura in India from 19.2.92 to 10.3.93. He is the father of the current legislator from Agartala Constituency Sudip Roy Barman. He contested from Bishalgarh in the Assembly elections of 2013. Addressing the press meet he said that, Left front has been looting the party in the name of development, they change colour like lizards.Since CPI-M has come into power the state has seen only riots, murders, scams, rise in scams and many more.Under the rule of CPI-M the people have faced anti-social activities and are simply bluffed in the name of development and growth. Speaking on the murder of Bimal Sinha the report of the Yusuf commission was not made public by the state government yet today even after the passage of 15 years from the day the commission had submitted the report before the state home department. Sinha and his younger brother Bidyut Sinha were gunned down by the militants of the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) on March 31, 1998.

Slamming, the Left front party, Barman Said that the party is corrupt, bluff, and characterless and knows well to act as per the situation to keep their good image up in front of the society.

The party is such cripple that they don’t celebrate Independence Day in their office. He further said that China claims Arunachal Pradesh as their parts and often intrudes in their land but left front is silent in this issue.

CPI-M does not have any existence in the society.  CPI (M) will "cease to exist if it continued with goondaism" .

They have already created history by goondaism during their rule in the state. Now they are again trying to take up goondaism to create another history but that will not help them in anyway."

I think if they continue to do such things this party (CPI-M) will cease to exist and only few people will remain there, added Barman.

CPI-M who are supporting such anti-national elements, should drop India from their party names because they are pursuing anti-national politics.
