AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN): Just before people of Tripura could recover the shock of East Dukli dual murder case, another brutal murder case has again sent shock waves across the city.
Yet in another bizarre incident, NCC police on Monday arrested one 60 year old woman is allegation of killing her own husband at her residence at Hatipara.
The incident has triggered serious panic among the residents of Hatipara under NCC police station.
Reportedly, the incident came to notice when the accused wife identified as Krishnamala Debnath(60) after killing her husband identified as Banabihari Debnath(70) was burying him under soil in the morning hours.
However, hue and cry spreaded in the area when few youths and children noticed the incident and caught her red handed.
Later the localites immediately informed the NCC police station.
Getting alarm the police immediately rushed to the spot and arrested the women.
Talking to TIWN correspondent police further said that the reason behind the murder is yet unknown, but police has arrested the accused and investigation is underway.
Police further added that no evidence is found from the spot and are suspecting that few others are also involved in the murder case.
The localites said that the couple had been staying alone in the area for past many years. However, police has sent the body for post mortem at GB hospital and noting can be said anything more related to the murder.
However, if we go through the reports, the capital has virtually become a dumping ground for bodies. Reports of the unidentified dead bodies have become a daily feed for the news papers and the channels in the so called Golden era of the left rule government.
Day after day dead bodies are being recovered from several parts of Agartala city and police is silent over this issue. It appears that the duty of police is so far limited to report the murder case and sent the bodies for post-mortem. Apart from taking any strict action police is busy in making tall claims in front of the public and fool people around.
However, police is further investigating the case.
