BARAMURA, Feb 15 (TIWN) : Although during the whole year CPM didn’t speak anything against IPFT, but during VC election campaigns at various places, Ministers including the Chief Minister himself have been found to slam IPFT for their raising demands for Twipra land.
Infact, during the last Municipal election, CPM was silent about IPFT’s demand for Twipra Land. But with the coming of VC election, CPM is protesting against the IPFT during election campaigns.
On Monday, Khagendra Jamatia, Minister for Co-operation, Fisheries and Home during his speech at Baramura said, “Demanders of the separate state IPFT, has been broken down fully in Tripura”. “People have not forgotten the black days from 1988 to 1999”, said Jamatia.
He also blames the opposition Cong. for their inactiveness in social welfare.
The rally kicked off at Barmura area’s Tuibaklai. Mass gathering was followed during the election rally.
During the rally, CPM leaders as Samir Chakraborty, Swapan Debbarma, Pranab Chakraborty, Ramchandra Debbarma were present. They urged the people of Baramura to vote for CPM.
