AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN) : 4 shops located in a densely populated locality Dharmanagar town were gutted in a fire on Saturday early morning, causing losses of around Rs 14 lakhs.
Reportedly, on Saturday early morning at Mahesh Smrity road a renowned shop had been gutted into fire without an unknown reason.
Along with that shop, more 3 shops were also damaged, however those shops were small and belonged to the hawkers. The businessmen are presently undergoing losses after the fire broke out at Dhamanagar on Saturday early morning.
The owner of the shop has been identified as Anukul Nath. He has alleged that due to some jealousy any of the local people has done this act.
Reportedly, on Saturday at around 3 am the incident occurred. Fired brigade although was called, but they came after atleast 30 minutes. As a result, Anukul Nath is undergoing heavy losses.
Moreover, fire brigade didn’t accomplished their works fully as a result of which at around 5 am the fire again started to spark off. Then the fire brigade again had to come and controlled the fire. However, already the damage was done by the massive fire.
FIR has been lodged by the owner of the shop. Police is further investigating the case.
